Hand Knotted with Cotton Tassel. Full 108 Beads + 1 Meru Bead.
Black Chirmi seeds are found in the forests of the Aravali Mountains and are believed to be several hundred years old. Care is taken to drill the hole so that they maintain a vertical position. Black Chirmi seeds are associated with the Goddess Mahakali. They are used to ward off malevolant spirits. Chirmi Seeds are considered to be very luck. They are often kept in cash boxes, safes, purses, and small containers on an altar, to ward off evil and bring good luck. It is said the beads will choose their owner, and will not stay with an unlucky person.
