Our entire existence is a great symphony of vibration. Sound is a condensed form
of life force energy or "chi". The whole body responds to sound. Sound works
directly on the nervous system, radiating energy, creating specific effects
according to frequency and intensity. The human ear can only hear sound vibrations
between 20 and 20,000 cycles per second, although we also perceive sound by skin and
bone conduction, ingesting and consuming it with the whole body. At a cellular level, this
stimulus is understood and assimilated.
Scientific studies show that sound can produce changes in the autonomic, immune,
endocrine and neuropeptide systems. Every atom, molecule, cell, gland, and organ of the
human body absorbs and emits sound. The entire body, as well as our brain waves in a
relaxed state, vibrates at a fundamental frequency of about eight cycles per second,
literally entraining and attuning us to the basic electromagnetic field of the earth itself!
The word "resonance" comes from the Latin word "resonantia," which means, "to echo."
To resonate means to reinforce or prolong a particular vibration in one location by using
a similar vibration in another location. All objects are resonators, transmitting and
responding to specific frequencies of vibration. Vibrational medicine works on the

humans, so too is the vibrational structure of our subtle bodies, the auric layers of the
